92 SR5 3.0 4Runner 4x4 Auto $2650.00
Location: Santa Rosa, CA (Northern Cali - 50 Miles north of San Francisco)
For sale is a 1992 4 runner that does need some work but runs great. There are good and bad with this car which is why it is for sale under bluebook
The body is fairly strait. it does have damage from previous small accidents but no major body damage that makes the body look bad.
The vehicle has 142,000 (or around) miles but the engine has 150,000 miles. This 4runner burned a valve and instead of rebuilding the motor i drove it until i found another running V6 ( if you know the 4runners you know that the 3.0 motor sells for upwards of 1500 dollars.) I drove the 4runner as is until I found a motor i could afford, and swapped it. I have driven the new engine about 2000 miles without any problems whatsoever.
The bad.
There are a bunch of small things about the car that make it cheaper than bluebook but its still a great strong vehicle.
-Needs shocks. Still drives fine but you notice that the shocks are badly worn.
-Could use allignment - Tires have great tread, but it steers off one way
-has some small dents - the car looks presentable but it is dented.
-starter seems to be catching a little after engine start. Does not effect anything other then a squeel at startup
-Seats (at least the drivers) showing age, and have tears at entry side lower cushion
-Some fo paint fading due to age.
-A/C compressor on original engine siezed, the replacement engine has different compressor so i have a strong feeling a shop can recharge and hook up the A/C
-The passanger side keyhole was popped inside the door when someone tried to break in years ago
BUT there is good...
Brand New cat-back exhaust (INCLUDING CAT)
-Factory rear privacy (tinted) windows
-SR5 package with running boards
-fully functioning Sunroof/Moonroof
-Working 4x4
-Automatic Transmission
I love the truck I just need to make room for a New car - used to tow alot of stuff around my bosses ranch and it was more then neccessary to have a 4x4 but now he got his own truck and I want to free up space.
Truck would be perfect for someone looking to put a mild lift on it, because its main issues would all be eliminated with a new lift.
i JUST spent over $1200 getting the engine in and running, so i'm firm on the price, and I know its not a perfect truck, but $2650 is not much at all for a 2nd gen 4runner w/ 4x4.
Just seeing if there is any interest, email me if you are interested...

If there is interest, I can supply more pics
P.S. - if i didn't mention it before, the front turn signal has been replaced and all signal lights are working fine.
