    Hey No problem.

Its not that hard of a project, you just have to take your time. I removed the bed for easy access to the frame. I would also drop the gas tank to gain access to the frame there. That are really likes to harbor rust.

Once you get everything exposed, you need to cut out all the rust and check for soft spots everywhere. I used some thick plate steel for the patch. If I remember correctly it was 1/4" stuff that I used to make the patch.

I also vacuumed out the frame the best that I could before putting the patch on.

If I could do it all over again, I would have coated/rustproofed the inside of the frame while I had it open.

Hey man, I just read through your thread where you fixed the frame on your 91 Toyota near the driver's side leaf spring. I have rust in the same spot on the passenger side. Any advice you have on patching it up would be greatly appreciated. I think my gas tank is going to be in the way and I've never taken on a project this large but I'll give anything a go.

    Thanks!
