Well Jimmy, I was also hoping for better MPG's, but I guess considering the added weight and drag as a result of larger tires and lift, I guess is expected. Especially your truck, beena 4X4. My gear experience, has not been a good one. First, I had to take the axle apart twice because the shop setup the new Yukon 4.88's incorrectly, and were making noise. After the second setup attemp, I still have a slight gear whine between 25mph and 15mph on deacelleration. I was really looking foward to have the new gears installed, but after the worthless setup job I got, Well every time I drive the truck, I get reminded of what an "improper gear setup" sounds like. To get the gears fix, it would at least cost an extra $300.00 to have ZUK do another setup and that is assuming my gears are not shot. I'm still debating on whether or not to take the gears apart again. If I do, it will during the fall, I need my truck now to tow the jetski to the lake. Hey congrats in advance on your upcoming wedding!

Hey Jose, good to hear from you! Yeah I just completed the regear last week. I went with 4.88's and a Yukon Grizzley locker in the rear. So far I haven't had any unusual noise from the gears, just some racheting and clicking noises from the locker when it engages and disengages. How about you? Hmm, that is interesting about our gas mileage...I thought that new gears would help that as least a little, but maybe not...
