all i am really after is the engine and engine components ie ecu wiring ect ect. ill get the bell housing and motor mount form the junk yard. what mods would you suggest doing to it?
so the BL will solve that issue then? cuz i already have a BL so if thats the case i am in business. i found a pretty good deal online for a 7mge from an importer. i am still having a hell of a time finding them local though.
nice well i will definitly look in to that. i already have a solid front axle so i htink i need the rear sump oil pan. and i can run my w56 trans with it? this might be easier htne i had thought. did you have to beat your fire wall back at all to make it fit?
really because what i have found you have to fab a bellhousing for the jz type engines. ill look into that though i have found a couple of those on CL. cant beat more horses i wondr what that swap is like though? you know anyone who has swapped something like that before?
thanks i like it for now. i was thinking about the 2jzge motor but i don t want to have to fab a bellhousing for it. but ill think about that for sure.
hey i ve read your build thread like 3 or 4 times now, could you tell me if it makes a differnece if the motor is JDM or not (for the 7mge swap) oh and if you ever really do want to sell your 87' 7m truck let me know i live in the portland area. or if oyu have any 7mge motors that are for sale i need one obviously for the 7m swap so with all the accessories.
Yeah i think it would be worth it to buy a whole car so more factory wiring and harnesses could be used (like to the fuel pump) I just found this about 50 miles away http://seattle.craigslist.org/kit/cto/1280356739.html
