any motor you want to last should get fresh bearings atleast but the 7m also need's the head and block surface to be machine flat and smooth for a metal head gasket "mhg" to seal, you'll need a Ra of 25 or better , ie closer to 1. for most mhg to seal.

well the clearence with the heater core outlet's shouldn't be a worry at all with a BL, though i haven't seen the effect's yet cause i have yet installed it.

you shouldn't have any issue finding a supra motor around here.. you might have to drive into the metro area, between craigslist and supramania & suprafourms you should definitly be able to source one in the price range you are looking for... hell if you want to buy a whole shell w/ engine and harness i have one that i gave to a friend but he's needing to sell to pay for lawsuits...

yeah i didn't try to test fit before i beat the fire wall back as far as it would stretch.

the heater core out let's are juse above my valve cover's and almost touch with clamps. LOL...

in supra's ya not the truck's. the wiring is going to be very similar, but the mounts, rad location, rad fan, ps, alt wiring, heater core hose's, front sump, mid, rear sump pan, i found front sump works pretty good with ifs, but heard mid sump works better?

it's a really tight fit, be best to mod the front end and put a really good pusher fan instead of tring to squeeze a puller like i am .

what do you mean fab bellhousing?

What tran's is in your Truck?

    if you have an G or W series. a mkiv n/a 5spd,lexus is300,sc300,gs300 all have w 58's if optioined with 5spd n/a.
these bell's bolt right to the g52, and w56 4x4 tran's and the 90-93 mk3 1jz supra has a turbo r154 the bell in this fit's the R150,R151f tran's, even the newer modles with the front drop on the driver sider?

just use the correct clutch, slave and flywheel set up that came on the supra, lexus sport coupe or what ever vehical you find these part's from.

Motor mount's on the other hand might be a custom job for the jz engine's. the M'series have mount's that can be mixed with the 22r series. as far as lower's swap,

i'd also recomend to keep tran's in stock place to reduce cost.

nice truck, i've been doing some work on mine and figured i'll keep it for the minute, tring to get it running still .

the only difference on the jdm motor's is they have a heater core connection on both side's of the head, which fit more applications. and you have to cap them off, other wise there the same.

though if you are fresh to swaping any thing, i would buy the 2jzge to swap into any thing.

The only thing I did was retorque the head bolts and run a garden hose through the coolant passages to flush everything out - the engine I got even had brand new NGK spark plugs in it. Most JDM engines come with some kind of warranty and with the low mileage engines like that there's less to worry about anyway
