The best advice I can give you for building a streetable crawler is to browse through the build threads and find a build that resembles what you envision for your 4runner. There are alot of good build threads on this site, most guys are pretty good at posting up pics and documenting the mods they have made to their rigs, and are happy to answer questions that you might have. You should start a build thread of your own, it's always fun to go back and see the progress that you've made!
