What mods should I do to my yota *Newbie warning*
I have no idea what ayll do to yall's trucks, and what I should do to mine. the only vehicles Ive modded and helped modded were V-8 Mustangs
So far I think my yota is stock (I think it may have a lift, I dunno) and Id like to do a few things to it. I love to go mudding in it so more aggressive tires are already on the list.
What should I do?
Can you tell me if this thing is lifted at all?http://www.mustangmods.com/data/16/toyota7.jpg

ya get some good mud tires....then take it out as it is....make sure you really like it....not many people like fast sport cars and offroad rigs, well let me rephrase that, not many people have enough money to do the sports car thing and the offroad rig thing....so make sure you liking being offroad in the mud stuff and see what you need to accomplish what your trying to do....ex more lift, winch, etc etc

That '81 has lots of potential! Looks pretty straight.
I like 33" tires and 4.88 gears. That would look great and have decent power. Hi-clearance crossmember, such as a 'Budbuilt' http://www.budbuilt.com/new/index.html
A rear locker of some type (ARB, electric, etc). Badland Bumpers, sliders
http://www.badlandbumpers.com/
Tune engine, fresh paint......wait a minute....what's your budget?!?!?
Ha!
Welcome to YT! Those factory SA trucks are sweet! Take care of it
& have fun!
Here's my '84 with 33" tires:

if you just want to play in the dirt, do a 3inch body lift, get some 33inch mud tires, and a rear full spool (or automatic locker if you still want to drive it on the street)
3in body and the locker should run under $350
tires can cost however much you want to spend
do that and she'll go through mud no problem, you dont need gears unless you want to drive it everyday in traffic.

what is going to be the primary use of this truck, DD or Trail rig?
if its a trail rig, i would ditch the swaybar and torque rod(its not that bad without one) that will allow a lot more flex, and go with 33x12.50's for tires, heck with a little "bodywork" and 2" BL you could fit 36x12.50's under there
