Switching to synthetic at 65,000?

I personally think its hogwash about the idea of it being bad to switch out to synthetic after 30,000 miles.......but....what do you guys think about it? I may decide to go to synthetic on this 1999 2.7L with 65,000 miles. yay or nay? is there any theory behind using a blend instead of full synthetic?

I always enjpy hearing others opinions, thanks.

I've never heard that, but then I don't get out much. I did switch my old Tacoma to synthetic at about 150,000 miles. There were zero problems because of this and it added about 3mpg to the gas mileage. This could have been the exception though.

That will bust most of the BS myths about synthetic motor oils.
