22re Long crank time only When it been sitting for a hr or 2

EGR valve Warm start ups on 22re

So I got a ? For u guys and gals

Would a stuck open EGR valve cause a long crank time starting when the 22re has been sitting for a while like a hr or 2 ?
let me know what u think?

It could also be low compression. I have a fairly long cold start time and I know my compression is low due to a well needed piston ring replacement.

I don’t think EGR could do it. When Egr sticks open, the engine will barely run because egr is really a big internal vacuum leak. My first guess would be cold start injector not working or something in that circuit prohibiting it.
Does it easily when engine cold on cold days?
