Sloppy shift lever in 86 4runner dlx a/t

Hey guys! New to the forum. Just bought an 86 4runner dlx with the 22RE. Really wanted a 5 speed but love the truck. Slowly working my way through to assess what needs to be done and in what order. One thing that I’d like to take care of now is the sloppy shift lever. I’ve done some prior research and seems like i found a thread with photos detailing replacing the soft plastic bushings that typically cause this issue. I’ve looked again and im finding plenty on the m/t, but can’t seem to find the thread detailing the work on the a/t shift lever: Any who has been down this road care to share their advice/experience? Thanks!

I have never replaced automatic transmission shifter bushings, but I did find this thread detailing how to replace the bushings on a 1990 4Runner. It should be similar to what you have on your 1986 4Runner.

The bushing part number in the post seems to cover your 4Runner too, but it is best to verify with a Toyota dealer or online dealer.
