I bought a 98 tacoma extra cab the other day for a steal of a deal. Downside was that it had been rolled. The motor runs and I was going to do a 3.4 swap into my 93 single cab. After speaking to a few people and thinking about it I'm wondering if I can rebuild the tacoma. I only have a few pictures but will post more later to better show the damage. So my question is should I rebuild or do the swap?

To do it right, it’s going to need a core support and some time on a frame machine to pull the fender rails back out. Then hoping the frame ears where the bumper attaches aren’t too far out that they can’t be straightened on a machine.
roll overs put a lot of stress on vehicles that they weren’t designed to drive away from. A lot of twisting torsional forces. Frames are meant to be loaded from the top or bottom, not twisted and rolled.
without measurements it’s hard to say how bad it is.
Thanks for the answer. After looking at it more last night and seeing how crumpled the metal was I think I'm going to look for a cab and bed to swap out. Looking at the frame it looks great and no bends or folds, suspension and axles look good. Probably will get it driveable and taken down for an alignment.
