Hello. I am trying find the brake booster for my 4runner but I can't seem to find the exact one, so I thought there might be compatible one. The model is: 3.4 (11.1995-07.2002) (136kw/185cv).

Do you have any suggestion on how can I find the one that would suit my 4Runner? I am very new to this.

When my break booster failed last year I tried to find one at several of my local junk yards. Every car I checked had already had the booster removed. I began looking at alternative vehicles like Tundras, Tacomas, and non 3rd gen 4runners. They all had different booster/master cylinder configurations. Rock Auto wanted $175 for a new one, but I held out for a junk yard option. Eventually one of the local junk yards got a new 4runner, so I rushed over and grabbed the booster. I think it ran me around $30 from the junk yard. Incidentally, I have been back to the junk yard several times since looking for other parts, and it seems that every 4runner I come across still has the break booster. Good old Murphy at work.
