I have an 01 2.7. I recently found out the sensor on the back of the motor that tests the coolant tempt for cold starts was unplugged. Plugged in it and it fixed my cold starting problem. Now a few weeks later a bearing started going out in my transmission around the same time my truck started driving rough which lead me to think the knock sensors were retarding the timing. It does fine until I go into gear and then it hits a wall and stutters until I go into a higher rpm. My check engine lights on for the sensors in the exhaust. Any ideas?

 

After doing some research I think I may of answered my own question with the faulty 02 sensor
