T-case strength behind v8

My plans to build my 89 have since been discarded (it's too nice to beat). I've now decided to build a 55 Studebaker on a k5 chassis. My only dilemma right now is my t-case choice. Engine is a stock LT1. I'm running a 2wd nv4500 so the t-case will have to be divorced. I'm considering a np203 because I have e one on hand but it's a little lacking on the low range. I thought about a 203/205 but the cost is up there in my area. I'm thinking of the toy t-case instead. I already have one and everything needed to run it divorced. My concern is strength. How do you guys think one would hold up or if I decided on a doubler (I'm thinking only a single 4.7). The LT1 makes only around 260hp. The nv4500 I have had the good low gear of like 6.4 or something like that. I'm thinking only 37" tires max since they're cheap. The v8 is mainly there for running down the highway. I like to try to stay out of the throttle while wheeling but some times I can get a little excited. What do you guys think. Should I take my chances with a 4.7 Toyota or spend the big bucks on a 203/205 setup

Other than POS used Humvee tires (I drove Humvees so I know) where are these cheap 37" tires you speak of?

This is why I'm asking. So I could know before I spend time and money on building a 4.7 case. Fabbing a way to install just to find t it can't handle it. That's why I wanted to know about others experiences with it bring behind a v8. The v8 torque alone doesn't concern me much. It's the v8 combined with the low range in the trans.

That's what I'm talking about. I can get them almost brand new for about 200 a set around here.
