So i have an 87 pickup ext cab with the 22R and it runs top notch! Well the cab has taken some beating so got a steal on an 88 4 runner with no drivetrain so wanting to swap my drivetrain over..although the 4 runner had the 3.0, will i be able to swap over the 22r without having to cut and weld new motor mounts??

 

No. Sell the 22r and find a wrecked 3.4 donor, you'll be happier.
I used the 4 cyl gear drive transfer case for the strongest combo.
