3VZ-E swap. Radiator Advice

Hey Guys. Replacing the 3VZ-E in my 1990 pickup. It's going well so far but I was looking for some advice on the Radiator. The Radiator that's currently in the vehicle is only about 20K old, it was swapped by the previous owner. Normally I would reuse one thats that young. However I have 2 concerns.

1) The head gasket blew and I'm getting some unique colored fluids out of the lower radiator hose.

2) Previous owner was just using H2O as coolant.

Would a good flush do? Or should I just spend the time/money while I'm doing the engine swap and start fresh? Thanks Guys!

Just what color are you seeing?/

Is it just rust ??

Does this run or did the vehicle come in a non working condition???

Brown and Dark Grey. I'll post if a pic when I get back home in a couple days.

It was running when I pulled it in but not well. Was overdue for an engine anyway when the head gasket blew. So the swap begins.

Thanks for the reply!

How does your oil look??

With the radiator a good cleaning and flushing might help .

No way to know without trying
