I have a 95 4runner (manual) with a 3.0 that's about to blow... I found a good deal on a low mileage donor engine (also 3.0) but it is from a 4runner with an automatic transmission... Are they interchangeable?

I put a 3.0 in my '90 pickup 5speed , The engine was from a 90 4runner auto. had to swap my flywheel to replace the flex plate and install new pilot bearing but all went well. hope all goes well with your swap & happy trails !

 

Yup; simple swap, since you have the bolts to begin with. Just need to hammer in a pilot bushing.
