old 3.0 swap to rebuilt 3.0

Seeking advice on a motor swap...

I am strongly considering paying someone to put a new motor in my 92. The truck was originally parked because of head gasket leaks and a cracked head. It has been sitting 3-4 years... I have no skills or desire to do this swap/rebuild myself. I know the 3.0 sucks and everyone hates it so please don't tell me something I already know.

I am thinking about paying a mechanic to take the old motor out and put this in it. http://www.toyotatruckengine.com/toy...ock-1988-1995/

Any thoughts? I want to get this truck running again so it can be my daily driver and hunting truck during season. No major off roading here.

No expert here, no objections either, I'm rebuilding one now to put in my 95. Maybe some cautions or advice tho, expect to spend close to $3k total (after 4yrs poss radiator probs, new clutch, prs plate, etc, assume stick, or auto trans svc). The motor will be covered by warranty if???, installed by?....
Is it wise, worth it? I'm doing it so I guess I'm biased.
