4.3l swap what else do I need????

OK so here's what's up I just bought a 81 hilux with a 4.3l swap, it was bored over .20, has flatdome pistons and, a comp cam besides that everything on the truck was stock. Will the stock Toyota rear end hold up and what about the running gear? I plan on beefing up the engine a bit later on ie. Intake manifold, carb, and headers. So what needs replaced???

If the truck has already been swapped what are you asking? Is it not finished?

That's a high hp estimate for a 4.3, does it just have an engine? No trans or transfer case currently?

it should hold up fine, mine does with A 400hp 2jz, the trans on the other hand wont if its the stock 4cyl one. an r150 from a v6 truck will be ok though. ive seen 2 cluster gears blown to hell behind 4.3's with the 4cyl. transmission, rear should be fine especially if you arent locked

It is just the stock 5 speed that the truck came with. I just bought the truck from a guy and he said it always was great for him but I plan on getting a intake, a carb, and headers (any recommendations for a guy on a budget?) want to build the motor up as much as possible and I really like the skinny pedal and don't want to blow up a rear end or a trans a 100 miles from anywhere

Run it as is and don't add anything to the motor to add power.
As said above the r150 trans is stronger than the 4 cylinder trans. But that will require an adapter on both the engine side and to run the 4 cylinder transfer case(which is plenty strong).
