Any way to extend seat tracks on 2nd gen 4R?
Honest, I did a search before posting this! :-)
Is there any way to utilize what looks like 2 extra stops in the existing tracks? I'm guessing there's a reason the slider stops short of those positions, probably a bump stop in the rail so you don't get close to sliding off the back. Or is there a method to replace or extend the existing tracks? I'm really just looking for maybe another 2" of travel.
I found a place that sells extended tracks but only for late model 4Runners, and then there's customs rails which eliminate the whole seat actuated back/forth lever functions and uses pins manually to position the seat - not really a desired solution.
Thanks for any help.

I thought I read on here that ext cab pickups with factory buckets have rails that allow the seats to slide a little more then 4runners. I don't know how true this is but might be something to look into.

Thanks, I'll check that out. Do you recall which generation pickups those were?
