94 vsv for fwd

I've searched until my fingers are numb. My son has a 94 4 runner, fwd, 5 speed, 3.0 v6. The fwd doesn't work and the po was a hack. I think I've got it down to one of the vacuum hoses that isn't connected and I've seen a picture of the part and the hose but down't know where it goes to from the bottom of the check valve. From the bottom #25 goes out of the picture. Where does this hook to?

Pretty sure the other side of 25 goes to a vacuum source on the passenger side of the plenum.

It Tees into the cruise control line, then to the top-of-three nipples on the "air filter" device on the plenum. (Just aft of the CSI.) (It doesn't matter which of the three you use; they're all just plain ole vacuum. The other two, if you care, are to the PAIR VSV and the FPU [fuel pressure-up] VSV.)

(By the way, fwd usually means 'front wheel drive.' I think you've got 4wd.)

Where does the cruise control line come from? That doesn't work either and I see no line going to it and no nipple on the unit itself.

Unfortunately, my cruise control is on the passenger side and has no vacuum pod on it. Is that a 4 runner thing?

This (C1...from my 3.0 removal):

Goes to the left of the T (where the right side between the T and the fitting on the plenum is labeled 'C'):

I don't have a good overall shot, but I'm 90% sure this is correct, but if someone would confirm that'd be great

Is that the washer hose in your top picture that is in the white clip by the connector?

Yep, at the very top of the first picture, the shiny black hose that seems to bend up is for the washer fluid.

Well, I have no T on that 3 outlet thing. The solenoids for add click when putting it in 4wd but that's without the hose on the end of the blue filter. When I put a T on the line like the pic above and hooked it to the nipple on the filter it didn't change anything. I'll try to get some pics but when my son gets home there's only about an hour a daylight left.

I still think there's some nipple somewhere that the end of this blue filter should go to and I just haven't found it. Then I need to find out why the cruise doesn't work.

Two quick ways to test.

1 find a working vacuum port and plug that hose into it and see what happens.
2 there is a procdure for testing the vsvs in the service manual.

Maybe that chexk valve is in backwards, or there is a problemnwith the hoses going to the actuator.

Found that the end of the blue filter was supposed to go to the vacuum can under the fender and wasn't hooked up. It had a line on it but wasn't connected. A local shop looked at it and found some better vacuum hose diagrams for this rig and had it going in 5 minutes. Best of all no charge. Merry Christmas.
