93 runner 3.0 reversed jumper cables and now no power.

Hey guys so I picked up a 93 4runner 3.0 auto. It had a weird alarm thing and had a toggle switch I had to mess with to start it. I put a new battery in it but I still had to use a jumper box to get it to start. I drove it a few miles to a friends. When I went to leave the jumper cables got reversed. I was getting no power to anything after that so I checked and replaced fuses and now my headlights and dome light work as well as the beeper when you insert the key. But as soon as the key is turned over there is nothing at the dash and it won't attempt to do anything. So I'm looking for help in figuring this out. Is there any relays for the ignition? Or anything else that would prevent the car from getting power. Or is the most likely thing that happened is I fried the ecm? Any ideas or help anyone has would be great

Did you check the main 80amp fuse and fusible link? Is it the alarm causing the issue? Was the EFI fuse inspected/replaced?

How do you check those bigger fuses? And where would the fuse able link be located? Would the efi fuse cause no ignition power

Yes, it would. Sometimes just a visual on the fuse does not indicate it's bad when it is.

Since you have dome light, etc. the fuse link (between battery and fuse box) and 80amp fuse (in fuse box) are likely ok.

OK so how do I check those fuses? And is the efi a fuse or relay

If you have a multimeter, check for continuity. You might be able to check them with a test light as well.
