So the 86 4runner sr5 has been broken down for 3 days now and finally got a throttle position sensor installed due to rough/low idle no power prior to breaking down. after putting in the new tps car still will not turn over unless safety cancel is pushed while trying to start her up. i hear ignition relay click, and hear no grinding of ignition when trying to start her up. battery died due to trying to start so she will only start when a jump pack is attached to battery. when she does start up car revs and drops revs and drops, pushing clutch/gas in has no result. any answers would be greatly appreciated.

 

When you try to start it do you have the clutch pushed all the way down? Did you adjust the tps once you put on the throttle body?
