I have a 88 4runner 3.0 I just had rebuild year ago , I had the check light coming on showing code 52 knock sensor but the light would come on after being driven 15 mins and the there was time wouldn't come on at all, I had to replace the fuel damper cause it leaked and now the light has come on more frequently which leads me to believe my Initial


thought fuel issue then my cat started glowing from the back of cat to front of muffler. I have since replaced the cat and muffler also since it had holes in it i've also replaced the injectors fuel pump and a few cracked vacuum lines now it idles fine but when i go to accelerate it's real rough and has hesitation what's causing this I have checked everything twice over only thing i can think is Tps? need help Im at a loss and need it back up and running right asap.

 

Tps could def cause that, but.... you still have the knock sensor code. I'd start by searching for vacuum leaks, then fix the code 52 issue, if still having issues after that, check out the tps.
