Completed timing kit, now have green oil..

Completed the timing kit last night with engnbldrs kit, except i think i may have messed up somewhere.. Now, I realized that it could be nothing because i had to spray down the engine before i got the crank pulley on cuz there was a mess of gunk stuff and i totally forgot about the exposed oil pump, so either, A, i got enough water in that oil pump to ruin my oil.. Or B, a gasket didnt seal somewhere and Im mixing water and oil.. Is B possible? Can I be mixing water and oil through the timing cover? Had a hell of a time gettin the old gasket off, I double checked everthing to make sure i had it all off, but now im thinkin i missed somethin..

I don't know, did you mess something up?

It could be (D) all of the above...

The only place its leakin from is the bottom of the oil pump, now that the oil is greenish yellow its pretty damn easy to spot the leak..

Well, drained, rinsed with 5 quarts of some mildly used oil from my last pan pull, and then filled with fresh oil, turned green within 30 seconds, radiator fluid has a simmery looking film to it.. Guess I screwed up a gasket somewhere.. Looks like its goin to the shop tomorrow.. :/

Ummmmm....I suggest you take it apart and figure out what is effed up. You don't need a whole timing kit, just some gaskets.

If you aren't up to the task you are going to need to get that towed to your shop. Driving a vehicle with coolant in the oil will go boom in very short time. Bearing damage will happen immediately.

With the cost of a tow and the cost to have it fixed....I say keep digging.

You've gone this far.
