Good luck on your quest, its a hard one. I spent about a month before I found a 2000 5spd Highlander edition (aka sport) with 130k and in very good condition but no elocker diff lock for $7200 (1k less than original asking price). Finding one with a 5 speed was hard enough, but one with the coveted rear diff e locker as well for sale is extremely hard. They were rare to begin with, and those who are lucky enough to have them aren't giving them up! If someone has one with the 5spd and elocker for sale in the midwest, I'd be tempted to buy it if you don't first

I realize I won't find exactly what I'm looking for right away and I don't need one until next Winter so I'm hoping between now and then one will come along. And the diff lock isn't a deal breaker if the 4runner has low miles and is in really good shape. I could always retrofit one.

Someone please get tired of your 5 speed highlander edition and sell it to me!

Bwahahahha, Never!

Are you using search tempest or the like? It helps that you know what you're looking for, especially if the seller doesn't. The guy we bought ours from didn't know what he had and didn't advertise it as one. We got it for a good deal.

There was actually one on here last July. Who knows? Maybe another will show up.

Edit: Forgot the pm's. Well, this is a good-natured bump, then.

Mine is not a manual and doesn't have the diff locker but just throwing it out there I will be selling it once I get my taxes back in the next few weeks. It's all stock green tons of work just done its just under 200k but very clean for the mileage. Pm me if you'd potentially want it.

I've got a 1997 5 spd 4x4. No lockers but you can always add a mechanical or air locker. 2.5" lift. It has some rough rust on the rocker panels right in front of the rear tires, but I'm looking to get a new Trail Edition so I'd rather sell it to a good home than trade it to a lot to get auctioned off somewhere. Let me know if you're interested and I can try to get some pics up.

Still looking.... Anyone have a lead on a green highlander edition 4runner?

Might settle for a sunfire red 5 speed as well...

My buddy has a 2000 IJM Highlander edition for sale, but it's auto and it's in Kansas City.

No affiliation but I remembered you were looking:

Auto and not green but it looks like he took good care of it.

There's also another 2000 (black+5spd no locker) at concord toyota. A little too rough around the edges for my liking, however.
