I have searched many forums and even google is no help. I have a 96 4runner with electric windows and locks. My problem is that the passenger front door will not open, and with the door being shut i can only move the door panel so much. Looks like everything is still together but that damn striker just seems jammed. Any ideas on how to get this door open? The actuator pushes the pin up and down so it seems like it is working.

 

Well putting a shoulder into the door where the door latch works, just fyi

 

What is causing it to hang up?

 

No idea. I guess the latch got jammed or something. I put my shoulder into it and it finally opened. Now gotta fix the clips that broke inside the door.
