98 4runner 2.7L 3RZFE

Hey, i own a 98 4runner 2.7L 3rzfe , the engine seems to be getting a little slugish when idling, not sure if its a misfire on the spark plugs or my wires.... runs decent when driving just when it idles seems a little rough.... if anyone knows any thing i could try that would be great thanks... i do know know that one of my wires was missing a rubber piece on the inside where it hooks up to the plug?? I have the new wires ordered..

I did a swap into my '84, rebuilt the 3RZ, of course new plugs, and pulled them after 25K miles. They had pretty rounded electrodes so I replaced them. 200K on OE plugs is impressive...

OP, I would check throttle body for being gummed up. Idle air controller as well. And I have heard, not experienced, that the valves being out of adjustment can cause a rough idle.
