wants to go in 4 wheel drive by its self

wants to go in 4 wheel drive by its self
My 02 tacoma tries to go into 4 wheel drive when im going down the rd.The light comes on that tells me its in 4, and if im going slow you can hear it kick in.thanks for any advise
