Matt's Toy "lucky"
This is the beginning of the tale of the transformation of my 90 4Runner into a serious trail and expedition rig.
i hope you enjoy! and i am taking suggestions...
I bought it in August '07 for $2500 with 243,000 miles on it, and no rust, thank God. 3VZ-E, 5-speed, sunroof.
the first thing i did was take off those stupid OEM runningboards and the extra front bumper flashing. took it on a few easy wheeling trips while it was still stock, nothing too hardcore.
had some engine trouble during the winter, grounding it for a few weeks while i replaced the timing belt and fan mounting bracket. then fried it in hollister due to a toasted air sensor.
nothing worse than leaving your rig behind... Had to tow it back the next day, then fixed it.

I dont know why the bumper was off

I did a cruiser coil BJ spacer lift, which is pretty cool, but I already want to go higher. I'm thinking TG 3" SAS...
I also did a rattle can bedliner coating on the rockerpanels and fenders.
looks cool, but i can rub it off with my foot.
Pictures on the way.
