Seat Belts

I have an 85 Deluxe Cab 4x4.
Are 1st Gen 4runner seat belts (all parts) the same?
I don't think the regular cab seat belts are.

Having a tough time finding seat belts for my build. Was wondering if I could expand my search to 1st Gen 4Runners.

im restoring one as well...84 xtra cab 4x4 that I recently bought buckles for..came out the yard off an 87 4Runner. They came off the back seat and, in turn, the securing metal needed to be flattened. Again, just the buckles, but they work fine with existing tongues. Also picked up a couple random belt sleeves so they don’t flop around. Notice the difference in height from new and existing buckles. I prefer the smaller ones actually. Total cost about $10.

Was also tinkering about this. Glad to see a thread right at the top. If not from a yard, are there any suppliers or interchangeable parts we could buy new?

it may not help but I found that the three point non retractable seat Belts from our 60s VW beetles fit in our 85 4runner and you can get em for around $30.00 each new. I took the original belts out to be repaired because they didn't lock up but now they they do. Idk if I trust em now but the hardware for the belts I got from a VW aftermarket source , Wolfsburg West bolt right into the roll bar in back.

Great info! Thanks.
I have a toddler and just don't trust the old seat belt in the back. Was thinking of getting a brand new one which might be more trustworthy

Another favor please, can you take a few pics of the brackets for the console mount. Mine didn't have a console but I have one now and need to fab up some brackets. Length, width, and height would really help
You can post them here:

Thanks
Hump
Ps Did you start a build thread for your truck?

pics are up hump, I can provide more if ya need it. And no, I don’t have a build thread, I’m not sure how to. The only mechanical things I’ve done to get it registered was a carb rebuild and a cat install. Still need to replace a blown out center support bearing, replace the leaf springs, and address the non working thermostat on the cluster panel.

I suppose I’ll start a thread for the reupholstering progress. I started before I joined here, so I don’t have too many pics. I recarpeted the camper shell kit, the back interior cab panel and am working on the door panels now. Just deciding if I want to keep it stock or to mod it with larger handles and possible map pockets.

your welcome hope it helps! There are other companies that make these and maybe cheaper too, especially if you want them without the Wolfsburg castle . I originally was gunna barrow the seat belts for now but decided to put new ones back in the VW. I'm going to try these in the back as soon as I get some decent weather to do some switching.
