Welcome!
The fuel pump relay keeps blowing?
Do you mean a fuse?
Can you show us exactly what keeps blowing?
The "fuel pump relays" on these trucks are called Circuit Opening Relays because of the safety design of the fuel pump circuit.

Might be a dumb question but do you have your intake all the way on ? On my 93 i did the exact same job and was trying to start my truck without the intake hooked up to the throttle body. I won’t start like that due to the sensor in the intake telling the fuel pump to kick on. Also make sure your timed correctly and not 180 off

I mainly meant the airboot that runs along the radiator that goes from the throttle body to the actual air box where the air filter is. Make sure that’s on or else the fuel pump won’t kick on besides the little bit of fuel it shoots in the manifold for a cold start

If you figure it out let me know dealing with the same issue. Head gasket change now fuel pump will only work when direct wired to battery. Gunna do some electrical trouble shooting tonight
