87 22re Won't start
I'm losing my mind trying to get this truck to run, but I'm running out of ideas. My brother crashed the truck 2 months ago on the driver side wrecking the fender/core support. I had one off a junkyard welded on and the body shop put all the wiring on the new fender/core support. The rest of the parts (radiator/airbox/afm/distributor/cosmetic pieces) I have pulled off junkyard cars. I got everything put back together and can not get it to start. Cranking over perfectly, but no sputtering whatsoever even with carb cleaner sprayed through the throttle body.
I am getting spark to the plugs and even put brand new plugs/wires/cap/and rotor. When I replaced the distributor I got the housing and rotor to match up exactly where the old one was. I have cracked the cold injector loose and have had fuel spray from it to verify operation. I held the gate of the AFM open to verify the buzzing sound by the fuel rail that it's getting pressure. I also bypassed the AFM in the diagnostics port per some other thread with a paper clip where it buzzes the whole time before you crank it over. I also pulled codes and it's giving me 2 & 8 which refer to the AFM unit or possibly the ECU. Even if the AFM was faulty shouldn't it at least try to fire or sputter a little bit? I don't want to just keeping throwing money at it and replace the AFM if that's not the core issue. Prior to the crash the truck was running perfect. As far as I know it seems I'm getting fuel/spark/and air. Everything seems to check out but it's almost like it has a killswitch on it. Any input or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Getting fire to the spark plugs? If your trying to start with starter fluid and get no fire then you have a fire/spark issue... with the AFM door slightly cracked open if you give it a shot of starter fluid and it doesn't try to start you have a fire issue...
when you stabbed the distributor you maybe 180 degrees out of time...
pull the distributor... find TDC #1 then restab thre distributor and time it...

I can double check the fuses. What is the AM2?
I have verified at TDC that it’s on the #1 cylinder on the rotor but I can pull the plug and double check it’s onnthe compression strike. They’re brand new plugs/wiring and have already verified that they’re getting spark
