I have a 1992 Toyota 4runner SR5 that I purchased a few months back for $700. I originally got it for the front end for my 94 2wd yota pickup drift project, id like to do a front end conversion on the truck and then prolly give the 4runner the appearance of a 90-91 lol. These vehicles appear rare in my area and when I do find one nobody want to part it out. Anyway heres the story on the 4runner. Its got the 3.0 with autotragic A340H transmission which is shot, but i'd like to make a daily driver out of it, but finding that transmission in my area is practically impossible, So I was looking into doing a swap on her. Seeing as my 94 pickup has a good running 22re and I plan on swapping a 2jz vvti in it, i'll take the 22re for the 4runner. I also have a 94 4x4 pickup i got for parts for my 2wd. It didnt come with an engine but it does have a W-56 transmission with T-case. This transmission is a 5spd, so i'll be doing an auto to manual conversion along with the engime swap. I have been doing some research on the 3.0 to 22re swap but havent really seen much info on it and would like to know a little more on the subject. I know that i'm losing power and it's a heavy vehicle, but i'm ok with that as long as I can drive the vehicle. I also know that i'll have to cut off the 3.0 motor mounts and replace them with the 22re as they sit differently. I do believe that I have everything for this swap, so that will save me time and money. I'll post a parts list of what I already have for the swap and maybe some parts that I think I may need?

W-58 slave cylinder from 4x4 parts truck
Pedal assembly from 4x4 parts truck
Clutch master cylinder from 4x4 parts truck.
Front & rear drive shafts from 4x4 parts truck
Steering box with power steering resivoir & all lines (should i take out the steering column as well?)
I'll have to go out and get some pictures, she's not much to look at but atleast the frame is solid =)

Don't worry about losing power from the 3.0, the 22re is a WAY better motor then the 3.0, more low end.

Thanks bud, ya just would really like to drive it lol. I was just on another member tread, and he gots the 95 with 22re stock. Looks like it can handle the abuse and im sold lol

Pulled a few parts from the donor truck yesturday, but nothing to serious. Still trying to figure out how to upload pictures? I just made an instagram account but its not letting me upload pictures on here, maybe have to make another photobucket account?
