1984 toyota pickup build

This is how she is sitting right now. I still need to get a bumper and build a winch bumper so i can put my smittybilt 10,500 winch on it. I am still doing things little by little a s will continue to update my thread as i continue to build it. I am going to focus on suspension/brakes/steering this coming summer.

I miss this beast. This was my 1982 4x4 that I rolled.

My little brothers 1982 trekker he is going to do some work on.

I bought the gauge pillar from LCE and ordered a temp sensor and tach since the ones on my gauge cluster arent working. The top that isnt hooked up yet is a wideband air/ fuel ratie gauge. They are the glowshift 10 color gauges.

Back glass

Block fresh painted

Carpet with some thick sound deadening padding under it.

I rattle canned the engine bay.

My 82 i after paint. I rolled it about a month later.

I painted the whole truck using the upol tintable raptor liner. It turned out awesome!!

The engine is fresh! Bored 20 over, weber 40 dcoe side draft carbs, old doug thorley tri y header, adjustable timing gear, high lift high duration cam from toyhead auto, 4 core radiator.

My dad reapholstered the drivers seat (out od a 1995 4runner) for me. I built the center console with 2 6x9 speakers. There is a 10 inch sub behind the passenger seat.

Lce adjustable timing gear installed.

Lce dual spring valve springs with titanium keepers and viton valve springs installed.

Enlarged exhaust ports (right one wasnt finished yet)

Head fresh from machine shop

Fresh painted

Valve cover and oil pump/ water pump painted

The engine in my 1982 pickup was the one I ended up building. This is the engine when it was in my 1982.

The valves before i cleaned them up.
This summer, I decided to build my 1984 toyota pickup. The machine shop was slow and I didnt get really rolling on the build till early july. I had to have the truck done and ready to go bu mid September to take it back to school with me. I bought this truck out of Billings, Montana a couple years ago not running. It had 3 inch front lift springs, rear blocks, nasty looking body lift with some ugly runners. The fenders were all chopped, the truck cab was cut to be a convertible. After I bought it, I fixed the engine but decided to focus on my 1982 toyota 4x4. I gave the truck to my little brother. About a year ago I rolled my 82 and wanted a summer project. I bought the truck back from my little brother last summer and started the build.

Before pic

Right after i drug it home in 2016
