Audio System Amp Wiring

I'm replacing the stock premium audio system on my '95 4runner. I want to also bypass the stock amp. Does anyone have the wiring diagram for the amp inputs from the car? I'd rather not have to rewire all the speakers if I can just use the existing wiring.

I'm specifically looking for the wiring that goes into the amp from the car (two plugs at the bottom of the amp, see photo) and not the radio harness wiring that goes from the amp to the radio.

Thanks for any help!

Mark

Those two connectors ("A" and "B", conveniently enough) go to the front and rear speakers respectively. So far as I can tell, they are wired the same for all 2d gens. Here's the manual for a '93 http://web.archive.org/web/201206170...11audiosys.pdf , and to be absolutely sure just check for continuity between pairs that should go to a speaker.

As you may have already figured out, "modern" radios don't use those connectors. But you don't have to do a hack-job with colorful hardware-store "crimps." ISO adapter harnesses (e.g., https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Car-...835199000.html) are readily available for lots of permutations. Just plug and play, boys, plug and play.

Yea the days of old are no longer required. I bought new stereos from crutchfield for mine and my wife's, 85, 98 respectively, 4runners. Plug and play.

Thanks this looks like exactly what I need. My '95 manual is lacking in the electrical diagrams and what you referenced looks like it's exactly what I need. I'll double check and make sure. I had looked around for wire harnesses but only found ones for the radio side. The one you linked to comes from Asia and it shows 2 or 3 weeks shipping time. Any idea if that item or similar is available in the US?

MANY thanks for the help!

You know I just realized that the wire harness I saw for Toyota radios without the amp are exactly what I need since I'm bypassing the amp. Those harness are available lots of places. For some reason I thought the wiring in a system without the stock amp installed would be different.

Again thanks scope103, you saved me a ton of time by pointing that out!
