Aftermarket Clinometers
Anyone have any experience with aftermarket clinometers? I was looking for one for my 1st Gen 4Runner. I’ve found factory ones for $200-$500 which is a bit ridiculous, but I’ve found some aftermarket ones for around $50. They all look to be about the same design with a generic vehicle image. I want something as close to stock as possible. Also trying to avoid having a Jeep on my clinometer if possible LOL

I will say that my stock great condition inclinometer doesn't work as good as it used to.
The altimeter still works great as long as I pet it at a known elevation before I count on it. Different weather tend to change the reading.
I use spyglass for my IPhone and it works as a great GPS as well when I am out of my rig. Also works offline.

The Land Crusier come with similar clinometer, but the housings are different than the ones in the truck and 4Runners.

the FJC comes with one. real landcruisers came with several variants, some of them in the dash. the 4wd tercel wagon came with one, and second gen 4runners had the option and is almost identical to 1st gen models but they are hard to come by in US models. I had a small generic one in a truck that I bought at West Marine, it was for a boat but it looked good and was about 15 bucks.

Pic of aftermarket early Montero clinometer/aux gauges I found in a junk yard for $20. the volt and oil pressure gauge work, but are pretty slow unresponsive gauges. I found a bspt t fitting to keep the idiot light on the dash too. Most people think it’s stock.

I don't think I have seen a factory inclinometer on 2nd generation 4Runners in the U.S., only on the 4Runner / Hilux Surf outside of the U.S.
