No AC after desmog

No AC after desmog
With it staying warm here for awhile, I'm having thoughts on trying to get the AC going again.
During the desmog, I removed the VSV valve and thermo switch.
Now there is no juice to the compressor when I turn on the switch inside the cab.
Blower motor works as it should.
The compressor will run and system will blow cold cold air if I use a jumper wire to it.
It was working great before the desmog. Still R12.
Any way to bypass those components to get juice to the compressor?

Yes the Weber was installed at the same time.
Used the LCE desmog block off plates. Removed pretty much everything.
Wiring harness is still there, but all else is gone. Smog pump, charcoal canisters, EGR, all gone. Stock intake was used, but all electrics to it, gone except temp sensor.
I removed the thermostat housing that had the thermo switch in it and replaced it with one that didn't have that in it.
I still have the old housing, and can put it back on and wire up the thermo switch if I need to.

The Charcoal Canister is part of the emissions system but removing it isn't really a good idea. I saves and burns fuel, or returns it to the fuel tank, that otherwise would have evaporated into the atmosphere.

Totally unrelated, think I was talking to someone about your truck today.....he said I should check it out but it looks like I'm going to miss you by a day as I'll be going by his place on Friday. As with anything yota, I am intrigued.

Well this seems to be one of those instance were too many changes were made at once. If I recall there is a part on the Aisin carb that is an idle up devise for when the A/C is on - You may need that. Search the site for more info on that. Same with the Vac switch - you probably need it. Have you looked over the wiring diagrams to see where things go?

I have a FSM that I have been looking at, but wiring is a weakness for me.
I thought I might just run a hot wire to the compressor via toggle switch.
Or just take it all out, who knows. I'll study it more and think about it.
