one piece bumper

does anyone know if there is a one piece bumper for the 4wd trucks? all I seen is for the 2wd and I have read they are narrower than the 4wd bumper and plastic ends .

The following is based on my 1987 2WD truck I had. It's not the answer you want, but it was my own experience.

I bought the same bumper you described that had the plastic ends. One of the plastic caps broke and the caps were discontinued. So I bought the next generation 1-piece bumper for the 1989+ trucks. One thing I noticed between the two bumpers is the way the mounting rails bolted to the frame. One of the bumper rails bolted to the outside of the frame, while the other bolted to the inside of the frame. Both worked, but how they were mounted was just different.

Since you're asking about a 4WD truck, you'll have to wait for a definitive answer from someone who has done both.

ok I am not finding anyone that makes a 1 piece front bumper for the 4wd trucks. I have been told that the 89 and up came with chrome ends over the crappy plastic.can anyone tell me if there is a difference in the center bumpers of 87 and 89 ?

People swap the 1 peace 2wd bumper, it is a bit more narrow but the big thing is that the brackets are different. I'm trying to figure this out rn for my truck and the bumper does hit a small tab on the fenders
