What hose is this? Need name and part number please!

Can anyone tell me what coolant hose this is? I have a small pinhole in mine and its leaking coolant. Cant find a part number or name for it, dont have a FSM yet. Its on my "new" 1985 4Runner, EFI, and I am starting my preventative maintenance. Somewhat new to the 1st gen 4Runners, I have an FZJ80 that I am a little more familiar with. I found these pics on the web, not from my truck, my camera is crap. Thanks for any help!!!

Not sure the local dealer would have it in stock though. I was going to order it if I could find out what it is.

Looks like the return line for the Idle Air Control Valve.

Thermostat by-pass hose. I have no idea what the part number is, but the dealer should know. I would think it would be a dealer only part due to the odd size of the hose and the need to wrap around (pre-bent) the thermostat housing. However, the hose in the pic looks to be like a standard parts house coolant hose. So who knows.

If you do find a part number, post it up here for others to know. I can't tell you how many threads I've seen where people are looking for what part number that is for.

Edit: In that pic it looks like they used Fuel line hose, I still think you will want to go to the dealer. That is obvisiouly not a fuel line.

Go to www.toyotapartszone.com and look up your truck with your VIN....then go through the parts listings - there are tons of diagrams with "parts" of part numbers...the site actually omits the first couple parts of the OEM number (lame...think it's due to Toyota forbidding them to list OEM numbers or something). But they DO sell OEM parts and they charge less than a dealer.

Great site if you can stand the navigation....

I agree, I use toyotapartszone.com a lot. However, I don't believe they have that hose listed. I have searched eveywhere on that site for it with no luck. I wanted to replace all my coolant hoses and found it was real hard to find the part numbers for the hoses coming off of the IAC and the ones below the TB. I ended up finding someone on here parting out a low mile truck and bought all the hoses on it. Lots cheaper and they were all in good shape.

16264-35011 up to 2-85
16264-35012 after 2-85

I was able to cross reference that number on toyotapartszone.com and find it that way, however it is not listed in any diagrams. Thanks for the part number.

Got a leak from this area too. What does this hose do? Do you have to take off the thermo inlet to get to it? or what?

It provides coolant though the throttle body to keep it warm. Shouldn't have to take the thermo housing out to get off. As long as you can get tools in there to get the fitting off. The hose itself should just thread out from underneath it.

So does coolant go thru this all the time or just when the engine is cold? It only seens to leak when I shut down with a hot motor

same hose, no inlet

Hi, I was searching online about this same hose. I have a 1st gen 4runner (1985) and this hose is connected to the thermostat housing, however, I can't find a home for it. I've looked all over the intake manifold and don't see an inlet. I found a diagram that is showing an inlet on a part that is on the bottom of the throttle body, however mine doesn't have that part because it's a 1st gen. Anyone got a good pic? Thanks.

Its kind of a tough one to get a good bottom pic of. If I have time tomorrow I will work on mine and take a pic for you.

Awesome, thanks. ANYTHING showing where it goes would be greatly helpful. I think if you just disconnect your air intake into the throttle body and get it out of the way, should be able to see/get good pic from there? I have the toyota diagram that shows the hose (22210D) but no dashed line to the inlet.. thanks Toyota

I was trying to figure out where this hose goes to. I have a 1st gen 4runner and it doesn't have the bottom piece they added to the throttle body like 3rd gen on, so it must go somewhere else. Thanks for the info, perhaps rockauto will know, I'll shoot them a call.
