Just installed the LCE header. Had been running a Doug Thorley Tri-y for last 12yrs. One test drive so far but very excited with results. Its like the other mods woke-up.

Which o-ring?? Mine hated synthetic oil, got into carrier then pushed its way up airline. Not a big deal on warm days but forget locker working in sub-freezing temps.

As for a D44, why??? The amount of labor and money to swap for a weaker set up. A Yota axle can be built cheaper...

Even for your intended use, I'd want the toughest sidewall available. Change a tire is not a big deal but doing so on a trail increases challenge factor.

axle hard to say as it depends on area. $200-700 depending on state of axle. You can always start high and negotiate down.

Yes, still loving it. It locks up from time to time, usually on starting off at a light that has the rutted asphalt. Still better mannered than the loc-rite I ran for years.
