Far as I know KYB is the OEM for Toyota and Lexus. Durable and affordable, I've never installed anything else and don't plan to (on a stock-ish ride).

This just saved my swap's cruise control, nice work, and thanks for the diagram! For future searchers, it looks like '97-'98 was when they switched over to the integrated actuator/ECU under the hood....
