DSL router blinking

I'm finally on to post this... but my Westell DSL router from bellsouth is screwing up on me! Every once in awhile the DSL light will be blinking on the router and I am unable to access the internet. I've tried to disconnect the power supply to it for 30 seconds then reconnect, but with the same results. Sometimes if I leave the computer off for awhile and turn it back on the dsl will work again, other times it wont. I'm not a computer guru so someone please help! Hopefully I will be able to get back online later and fix it.

I just had about the same issues with a lot of dropped service. It would drop every 1-5 minuts at times and maybe like 15 times in a row till I gave up. I thought it was the Westell router, but it wasn't.
Verizon came out and played with the wires in the house and it was better, but I had no phone service.

They just came out yesterday again, and did some work on the utility pole, and now it's working with no dropped connections since they played around on the pole.

I have no idea what the guy did, but it works. Call your provider and see what they can do.

Ok thanks 4. I am on my computer at work and now my internet at home won't even work at all. If I can ever find the time to even call I will. Thanks again!

My computer has been flawless since the did whatever they did.
It was perfect for awhile before that as well, but it just went on the fritz for a bit, and now it's all working very well.

find the time to call--even it is on the crapper during a break. The calls are logged and once you have a number of calls with poor service it helps. They will send someone out, but you could probably get a fewmonths of free service just based on the number of porblems.

Don't call 10 times in one day, but you get the point. If you are at home and it messes up, call-everytime it happens, until fixed.

Update: It's finally fixed. My brother called the company while I was gone and he said it was something about the filters? Anyways they walked him through all of the steps and now it works flawlessly.
