Sub help
 

Hey i have a Rockford Fosgate 12" P3 with a 1000 watt sony amp. When the sub hits it looks like its barely moving at all compared to my old sub. Does this mean the sub is underpowered and will it damage the sub at all? Thanks for the help

Did you install it yourself, have you set the gains correctly, is it wired correctly. No one can come to a positive conclusion with that amount of info.

amp model number would help, so would more info on the sub. From what I can see, there are shallow mount and non shallow mount, and different dual voice coil impedance in other models, all in 12" P3. How is it wired? How is the sub mounted? Do you have a capacitor? MORE INFO NEEDED!
