looking to replace compontents..help

Currently I have a system in my car that needs upgrading (specially the speakers). I have a 1999 4runner limited, with a 12” JL W7 and a JL 1000/1 amp. My HU is an alpine CDA9813, got a cap and a yellow top. I’m perfectly fine with all these haha, now I just want to upgrade my speakers. I’m sort of new to installing speakers, although I did install my sub all by myself and built a custom enclosure. So what exactly will I need to buy in order to install them? I’m looking at JL XR’s, but am open for any other suggestions. I don’t know what size to get and what not. Just looking for some help because when I installed the sub I kept having to buy one more part at a time that I left out in order to install it so it was a long process. I would prefer to get this done swiftly, so I’m in need of a product list of some sort as to what I need, thanks guys

--lookin to spend about $500 MAX.

JL XR's suck when it comes to midbass. I'm not exactly sure what else would work though because I like to usually piece my stuff together. I know the Morel dotech series have pretty nice midbass when installed right. www.morelhifi.com

Forgetting installation parts is part of the game. :)
