How to remove Inner Cover

I have a '93 Toyota P/U and I need to remove the inner cover on the doors that are on the front end of the window, some mirrors attach there. mine does not have the mirrors attached there, they are mounted to the door itself. this cover is the shape of a boat sail, or a D. I want to remove it with out breaking it. can someone Help?

you can see it here

just scroll down a little and you will see it.

i dont think there is a screw attatching this inner boat sail cover. if there is a screw, it will be easy to see.. and very obvious.
at work i use a panel puller i bought from a local tool shop for like $15. sounddomain carries one for a lot less (wish i had bought from them) http://www.cardomain.com/item/SOU87810
you will also need this if you try to remove the door panel.. if you try to use a screwdriver to remove the clips.. you will risk damaging them. this tool makes it a lot easier.

if you only need to remove that sail panel... then a normal large screwdriver works.. just pry it behind and try to place to tip at the clip (you will be able to see it once you get the screwdriver in there)..

so in summary.. if you are removing the whoel door panel.. id reccomend that tool.

if you just need that one sail panel removed.. then get a screwdrive and it comes off no problem.

good luck

it's friction FITTED.

meaning, just by pounding that SAIL cover into place, that's what holds it.

pry it out with a "prying out" tool and that sucker will pop out.

it's a tight fit at first, but subsequent removals of that thing and it will loosen up... lol...
