FM Modulator
Well I have a 20 gig MP3 player... and I am looking for something that I can plug into the headphone jack and then into the cigarette light for power... my brother has one but it runs on two double A batteries so that sucks... anyone know a good brand and place to buy them? Kind of on the cheaper side...
I am going to just get rid of my XM Radio and just download about 15000 songs... that will be better I think hah.. Ian |
You may want to check out Gangus2006's post Aux Input anyone?" for the link that he's got there to a distributor of such items. :great:

Alright I checked that out but its not what I need really... what I need is something like this...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...787220417&rd=1 Just plugs into the headphone jack then you plug it into the cigarette light... then it sends the signal out to a station and your cd player picks it up... I know what they are and all... I just need to know of a good brand and a cheaper place to buy them... Thanks Ian |
My brother just bought this, it arrives next Monday, I'll let you know how it is.

Dont bother with a wireless FM transmitter. Sound quality sucks balls with those. If you have to use FM mod, get one that is in-line with the antenna. They are like $50 and sound much better. Well worth extra money over the wireless models.

We tried it in his Corolla and yup, the sound quality sucked. He is pretty dissapointed because his friend used it in his car and it was alot better.

I had this for iPod mini and it sounded ok.. but the two AA batteries wore in about a week. Then it just died. So I returned it because I did not want to the replace the batteries every week or so. Im now using something called like the I-air or air play. Its a little device the iPod specific that plugs in the top of your iPod/mini and tunes to your radio station. Runs of your iPods power so you never replace em. Ill take some pics of my setup. The sounds is descent, you just have mess with it and find a good station. |
