2 or 3-way?
 

I am trying to decide on front speakers. I'm set on cdt, and was looking at the 641s, a 3 way system, which I've found for 250 at visionaryaudio, not so sure about them though. Found it at other places for about 300. I've found some cdt 2-ways for about 150. Would I really be able to notice the difference that the 150 would get me, not really looking for audiophile stuff just a good stereo system.

Anyone?

I plan to do a 3 way system. I've never heard the CDT's but they get decent reviews. If you aren't looking for audiophile stuff, a 3-way system is overkill for you.

If you are going with that kind of quality - 2 ways will definitely be fine. You can always decide to add in seperate tweeters or mids at a later time if you want more. (or you can add additional speakers in the kicks, doors, etc.)

Check out ebay for speakers as well, I got a kicker component set on there for under $100 and they sounds great.

Those CDT Cl-61s for $150 you are talking about are supposed to be really good for the price ... I'd go with those.
