This site is great!
I am no mechanic, not close, but the recent purchase of an '86 Toyota 4x4 with only 82K has me doing my own repairs including a timing chain and guides, ignition locks and, most recently, a problem with my Aisin manual hub not going fully to the "Lock" mark when I try to engage it. A four year old post got me out to fix it in less than 10 minutes.
Thanks to all the knowledgeable posters who share their experiences with those of us having more enthusiasm than experience turning wrenches.~AMMOe |

Another weekend and another question answered in the archives. My output shaft on my 86 4x4 is leaking a bit so I did a search and found that it was a repair within my capabilities. Tomorrow it gets done thanks to this site and the fine contributors. Thanks! Again! ~AMMOe

Great job!!! You will find these little trucks are fairly easy to work on. Several things can be repaired for cheap and easy.

Totally right. Parts are easy to come by, and are easy to work on.
