Script error.

Hey ya'll, I'm not that great with computers! I keep getting this script error message and it just started about a week ago here on YT. At first I though it was just with certain threads but it doesn't matter. It happens infrequently, like right off the bat or after after a while. No other sites have this issue, not that it's YT fault, obviously my computer being stupid(or, rather, operator). It pretty much locks Safari up and I have to "end program" and reload the browser. Sometimes it REALLY locks up the computer...

Does anyone have any ideas? Possibly a setting I need to change? Thanks a bunch!

Nothing on my end.
I am using XP Pro and the latest Firefox browser.
But I will show this to the technicians.

Trying to figure out why you would get a movie error when no movie is loading on that page.
Sounds to me more like a Flash ad might be doing it.

See, Corey, that's what I said to myself the first time it popped up. Are the ad's considered "movies"?

I'm runnin Vista :barf:
Safari v4.0.4

Corey Dec 20, 2009 04:33 PM

The ads can be if they are Flash, that is what I think is going on.
If so, the error is on the ads originating site end, not here.

But I see zero ads anyways since I use Firefox.

Hmmm, ok, well is there anything I can do in the mean time besides changing browsers, again? lol!

bigblue I have the same problem ,switched from IE to firefox but still have the same problems here on Yotatech only . Its alot worse if your not logged in, and alot worse with IE

BigBluePile Dec 20, 2009 07:22 PM

Hmmmm, yeah, I gave up on IE long time ago and really this is the only issue I've had with Safari.

x2 being this is the only site that this error pops up.

Corey Dec 21, 2009 12:47 AM

You should not have any problems here or other sites with Firefox and this.
You must install this too to stop the errors.

I seem to recall some other folks running Safari were having issues with this flash player problem. I think I saw a patch "app" thingy when I was on the www.filehippo.com site one time that (supposedly) addressed it.
Don't ask me what it was called though I only glanced at it as I went by looking for other stuff.

I'm running firefox on a few different computers and never seem to have a problem like this here though.

This is getting ridiculous. This damn script error just completely locked up the computer and I had to completely shut down and restart...again.

Try Firefox and the plugin I suggested.
This is not YotaTechs fault.
It is the advertiser who is at fault for supplying faulty code to wherever their ad originates from.

If you surf with Firefox and that plugin, you do mot see the ads, so there will be no glitch.

Downloading now.

Wow, this browser is FAST!!

Is there a way to organize my favorites so that the folders are on top?

aviator Dec 23, 2009 07:57 PM

not sure what you mean precisely never tried it
never seen "favorites" here in firefox
favorites are called bookmarks in firefox I think...
never really tried to organize them or set a "fav" since I'm on diff. puters I never bother...

BigBluePile Dec 23, 2009 08:09 PM

oh sorry, bookmarks then. I have LOTS and I have them broke down into folders to organize them. In IE the folders are listed first and then single bookmarks.

Also, is there a reason why the background won't show the "tire tread in mud" theme?
